Proposed Changes to Admissions 2020
The Archdiocese of Liverpool have asked all their schools to consult on proposed changes to their Admissions Policies. This window of consultation runs until 25th January.
If you have any comments that you wish to make please put them in writing and address them to both our Chair of Governors, Mrs Kate Armstrong, and to the Archdiocese of Liverpool c/o Mr Chris Williams. The two addresses for correspondence are:

After our successful Ofsted Inspection last October, we have had a significant rise in the number of parents interested in sending their child to our school. We are very proud of the fact that our local community now also appreciate the quality of teaching and learning at St. Joseph’s and recognise the way we care for and nurture the whole child. This includes planning for children’s social and emotional and spiritual needs as well as their academic ones.
We will not compromise on the quality of our care, teaching, classroom facilities and building space and for this reason the governors would like to reduce the admissions number from twenty one to fifteen. As a school with three split year group classes we want to ensure that our class sizes are not significantly above thirty in Key Stage Two.
