Excellent attendance is expected of all children but we understand that there will be times when children are too unwell to come to school. If your child is absent you must contact us as soon as possible on the first day of absence, either by phone or you can call into school and report to the School Office. The school will contact parents on the first day of absence if we have not heard from you.
If your child's attendance causes concern, the school will meet with parents and may refer the child to the Pupil Attendance Support Team (PAST). The school will take appropriate action with the necessary agencies if a child is missing from school, without notification for a period of time.
Holidays during term time will not be authorised. All application for leave must be made in advance, by the parent of residence using the 'Request for Leave of Absence' form from the School Office. Requests will only be authorised if the circumstances surrounding the request can be evidenced, by parents, to be exceptional.
