Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is a funding allocation, in addition to the school's budget, which is used to raise the attainment of the most vulnerable pupils. The Government believes that the pupil premium is the best way to address current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their non FSM peers, by ensuring the funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.

The pupil premium is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years. Funding is also allocated for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months, and children of service personnel.

Schools can determine how the funding allocation will be spent in their setting to ensure pupils receive the support they require.

Please see the information attached to see how we have allocated the Pupil Premium funding.
