DT week. Making Piggy Banks!
Chinese New Year. Destiny and her mummy came into class to tell us how children celebrate Chinese New Year. We made noodles and had a go at eating them with chop sticks! Later we made red Chinese drums.
We are investigators! We observed the effects of pouring salt onto our ice balloons, adding some food colouring so we could marvel at the beautiful patterns with a torch as the ice melted.

RE - Islam - Discover and Respect. Mrs Patel told us all about her faith. We learnt about how Muslim children go to the Mosque and learn the Qu'ran. We had a look at the beautiful prayer beads, mats and special jalabeyas. What objects are precious to you?
As part of our R.E. topic we made Christmas candle holders to remember Christmas is Jesus' birthday
A Victorian Christmas at Gawthorpe Hall. We played traditional games and sang songs from Victorian times. We made cornucopias and a Christmas pudding. We also met the Victorian Father Christmas who told us what Victorian children would find in their stockings.
