Welcome to St Joseph's Catholic Primary School.

"Together we love, learn and follow Jesus."

We are a small and friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you an insight into the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

Mission Statement

At St Joseph's Catholic Primary School,

through an open and generous heart,

we learn together as a family in faith,

following the gospel values of love.

A Warm Welcome from the Acting Headteacher:

At the very heart of this school are the children. Here at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School we believe that every child matters and we treat our children as individuals.

Ofsted graded pupils' behaviour as good, stating "their kindness to one another and their willingness to learn plays a positive part in their success."

Staff and governors are committed to constantly seeking to improve the provision we offer. In an ever changing climate we face new challenges, both in terms of developments in education and expectations of the children and parents. All staff are therefore fully committed to the school. Ofsted noted "they work well together as a team and are confident in asking one another for advice on the best ways of helping pupils learn". Our staff are knowledgeable and experienced and bring new ideas to the curriculum to inspire pupils with exciting experiences and learning opportunities.

I am delighted that in our RE inspection, all aspects of the religious life of the school were found to be OUTSTANDING and Ofsted judged our school to be a GOOD school.

We are proud of our pupils, and consider it a privilege to serve the parish and community by giving children the best possible start in their education.
