Meet Our Governors
Name: Kate Armstrong
Role: Chair of the Governing Board.
My association with St Joseph's Catholic Primary School began in 2014, when my son Tom joined the school's Reception class.
A year later, the then Headteacher asked me if I would consider standing to become a Parent Governor, a role I was elected to, and in 2016 I was then elected Chair of Governors and moved to a Foundation Governor role.
I moved to Hoghton in 2003 and have lived in the parish since then. Professionally, I have been involved in teacher training and teacher professional development for many years, working for Lancashire County Council, Ambition Institute and the National Institute of Teaching.
Away from work, I am kept busy providing taxi services to Tom for his many and various football matches, am a partner to Rob and enjoy walking our Jack Russell Terrier, Eddie. I am also Vice Chair of Governors at All Hallows Catholic High School in Penwortham.
