Our School

Our school day starts at 8.50am with registration. Doors open at 8.45am.

The school day finishes at 3.20pm for all classes.

Morning Session

8.50am – 11.50am      Class R/1

8.50am - 11.55am       Class 2/3

8.50am – 12.00pm      Class 4/5 and Class 6

Children will receive a late mark from 9am onwards and an unauthorised absence after 9.30am. Please refer to our Attendance Policy for further information.

The whole school has a morning break from 10.30am to 10.45am.

Whole school assemblies take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Here at St Joseph's we are very fortunate to have extensive school grounds. Where possible, a lot of our learning takes place out doors using the different facilities around the grounds.

Getting to School?

We encourage children to walk to school. There is a school crossing patrol opposite Bournes Row on Gregson Lane.

The car park at school is not to be used by parents unless dropping off or picking up from GLAD. Bournes Row is a very busy road and we therefore suggest parking at the Black Horse pub and walking down to school. However, if you opt to park on Bournes Row, we ask for you to be considerate to the local neighbours and to not park across driveways etc.
