Unavoidable School Closures

The school will always try to stay open. However, sometimes schools have to close because, for example, not enough staff are able to get to school due to severe road conditions and therefore there would not be enough people to care for the children.

In circumstances such as these the school HAS to close.

In the event of a school closure, all parents will be sent a text about the closure and the following local radio stations will be informed and should broadcast this information. These stations are:

BBC Radio Lancashire (95.5 FM, 103.9 FM, 104.5 FM, 855 MW)
Rock FM (97.4 FM)

It is advisable that parents and carers consider emergency childcare arrangements in this eventuality as children will not be allowed into school in the event of a closure.
