A Warm Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, friendly and faith‑filled community in the village of Brindle, Hoghton—close to Bamber Bridge and within easy reach of Preston, Blackburn and Chorley.
At St Joseph’s, we are deeply proud of our identity as a Catholic school. Our mission is simple and joyful: to love, to learn, and to follow Jesus together. We welcome every child and every family with warmth and openness. As a community rooted in Gospel values, we embrace families of all faiths and of none, recognising that it is our shared humanity and our shared values—not our differences—that unite us.
Our small size is one of our greatest strengths. We know each child personally, we know each family well, and we understand how powerful the partnership between home and school can be in helping children flourish. Every child is valued, every voice is heard, and every success is celebrated.
We promise that each child will be nurtured, supported and encouraged to grow in confidence, develop their God‑given talents and reach their full potential. Our curriculum is rich, ambitious and carefully designed. Reading and communication lie at the heart of learning, and our approach to maths fosters resilience, curiosity and a belief that everyone can succeed. We encourage children to be courageous thinkers, joyful learners and compassionate friends.
As a proud Forest School, we make full use of our beautiful outdoor environment. We want children to develop a deep appreciation for creation and to understand their responsibility to care for the world God has entrusted to us.
We are incredibly proud of our school, our parish links, our dedicated staff and governors, and—above all—our wonderful children who bring our mission to life each day.
